Simple and reliable
Hand-drawn curtain tracks
Most windows need nothing more than a good hand-drawn track, fitted level, fixed into something solid and cut so the curtains clear the glass. It's simple work that's easy to get wrong, and we get it right.
- Fixing
- Ceiling, wall or recess
- Windows
- Straight runs and bays
- Extras
- Draw rods, double tracks for sheers
- Upgrade
- Many can take a cord or motor later
Small details, big difference
- Length: we extend the track past the window so curtains stack on the wall, not the glass.
- Height: mounting higher makes a room feel taller. We'll suggest the best position for your ceiling height.
- Fixings: matched to what's behind the plaster, so the track doesn't pull out under the weight.
- Draw rods: slim batons on the leading edge that keep hands off the fabric.
Where they're used
Bedrooms, living rooms, children's rooms, sheer curtains layered behind main curtains, and as the budget-friendly option on bay windows. A hand-drawn track can be upgraded to cord or motor later on many systems.
Hand-drawn curtain tracks: common questions
Can I have a voile and a curtain on the same window?
Yes. We fit double tracks or two single tracks so the sheer and the main curtain move independently.
Is a track better than a pole?
A track gives a cleaner look and a smoother run, especially on bays and ceiling fixes. A decorative pole makes more of a statement. We fit both; see blinds and poles.
